Set-up and Affliate Tomorrow!

Hey everyone!

Just a reminder, tomorrow we're going to be setting up in the CLC building at 1:30 for the Chili cook-off. It'll be a blast!!! You all should come!

Also, if anyone would like to join FPC as an affiliate member (keep your home church membership- just officially "affiliate" yourself with FPC while you're at college), come to the fellowship hall (where we eat dinner) at 6pm tomorrow (Friday) to meet with the session for 10 or so minutes. There are a few students joining already, and we would love to have more since it's PC Sunday! Call Anna if you have questions - (864) 982-2453.

Washclothes, bandaids, and toothbrushes oh my!

Hey everyone!
I know you all missed this email last week so I tried my hardest not to forget to send it this week!
Following our discussion last Wednesday about Haiti, the other officers and I discussed wanting to become more active in Haiti relief. For that reason, this week we are going to be putting together the first aid/care kits that First Pres is collecting to send down to Haiti. We'll go ahead and buy all the supplies to put them together but if you have a few bucks you want to contribute, bring the money to the meeting tomorrow.
We'll also be debriefing about this past weekend at winter conference. Whether you went to Winter Conference or not, its sure to be a good conversation that everyone can participate in.

It's almost Wednesday!!!

Welcome back everyone!!!

Tomorrow's the big day - time for PSA!!! We'll be meeting at 5:30 on the steps of Neville to walk over to First Pres for dinner. After dinner we're going to have some catch-up time, play some games, talk about this semester, and talk about a few amazing retreats that are coming up.

The first of these retreats is Winter Conference, a retreat in Montreat for all of PC! It's a blast! Really, its my favorite time of year! It is the weekend of January 22-24. It costs $30 to attend which covers 2 nights of plush accommodations at the Assembly Inn, delicious meals (also at the Inn), and an awesome t-shirt. The conference itself is based on the theme "In the beginning..." and will cover the importance of creation. We will also meet in small groups as well as have free time in Montreat on Saturday afternoon and a talent show on Saturday evening (get your acts ready!). We will have registration forms at PSA tomorrow. You can bring your money then or bring it to Lucy in the Religious Life office sometime before the conference.
